Synthesis

Use mana and synthesis materials to synthesize items.

Two types of items can be created through synthesis: battle items, which can be used in battle, and equipment, which characters can equip.

To synthesize an item, select the recipe for the item you want to make, then select two characters and the synthesis materials.

Three items will be created in the slots. One of them is always a synthesis item. The other two can either be a synthesis item or another item.

Gift Colors

When the characters and synthesis materials selected have matching gift colors with each other, their traits can be applied.

Traits

Traits can be applied to either battle items or equipment.

Characters and synthesis materials give traits in the following ways.

Characters: Battle Item Trait x2, Equipment Trait x1

Synthesis Materials: Battle Item Trait x2 or Equipment Trait x2

When synthesizing battle items, only battle item traits will be applied. The same goes for equipment and equipment traits.

The traits applied during synthesis are selected randomly.

For battle items, three out of a potential six traits will be applied. For equipment, two out of a potential four traits will be applied.

Battle items might receive a trait that will not have any effect when used.

Note: If you don't use any synthesis materials, a common trait with no effect will be applied as one of the traits.

Note: Character traits will not be applied if the gift colors don't match. Instead, there will be a chance to apply a common trait with no effect.

Trait Level

All traits have five levels. The higher the level, the stronger the effect.

Trait levels are selected randomly for each trait applied during item synthesis.

The following methods can be used to increase the chance of applying traits with level 4 or 5, while reducing the chance of applying traits with levels 1 to 3.

  • Awaken characters beyond 3.5★.
  • Unlock the Synthesis Core panel on Growboard.
  • Increase Player Rank.

Quality

A metric used to evaluate the strength of synthesis items.

Quality is determined by the compatibility of traits with each synthesis item, with higher trait levels contributing to higher Quality values.

Popular Synthesis

In the Synthesis Prep Work screen for each recipe, you can see and apply the combinations of characters and synthesis materials that are most commonly used.

Popular Synthesis is viewable by the following three time periods.

Ranking (All Time)

The total period since the recipe was added

Monthly

The past 30 days

Weekly

The past 7 days

Note: The calculations for each period are updated at around 11:00 (UTC+8). (The time may vary slightly between recipes.)

Note: Weekly results are visible 7 days and monthly results are visible 30 days after the recipe is added to the game.

Simple Synthesis

Simple Synthesis is a simplified method of performing synthesis, in which you simply select the recipe of the item you want to create.

You can choose to synthesize multiple of the same item at once by selecting the number of synthesis attempts.

Note: The amount of mana and synthesis materials required depend on the number of synthesis attempts.

Note: The maximum number of times you can synthesize in a single use of Simple Synthesis is 100.

The traits that appear on items created by Simple Synthesis are determined by a set of selected traits associated with each recipe. These traits are randomly assigned during synthesis.

Note: With the exception of some select traits, it is possible for the random traits to be duplicated.

Trait Levels in Simple Synthesis

In Simple Synthesis, the only way to increase the likelihood of obtaining trait levels 4-5 and decrease the likelihood of achieving levels 1-3 is as follows:

Research

Consuming Cole or Shiny Coins increase research levels and can provide effects based on levels.

There are three types of research: combat, alchemy, and training.

Combat Research enhances character abilities based on role, while alchemy Research strengthens synthesized item abilities.

Training Research allows you to raise the minimum character level.

  • Minimum Character Level

When characters are fielded, all characters below the minimum character level are raised to meet the minimum character level.

For example, if the minimum character level is 50, a character at Lv. 10 can be fielded as if they were Lv. 50.

However, the minimum character level cannot be higher than the fifth highest-level character you own.

*The level increase from Training Research is limited to the maximum level unlocked for each character on their Growboard.

*Level increases through Training Research do not count towards completing missions related to character levels.


In addition, the higher the level the more Cole or Shiny Coins are needed.

Combat Research and Alchemy Research are unlocked upon completion of Chapter 2-2 in the main story.
Training Research is available after clearing Chapter 3-55 in the main story.

Item Conversion

This lets you convert synthesized items into Shiny Coins.

The number of coins depends on the rarity and trait levels of the synthesized items used.

Converted Shiny Coins can be used for Training Research or exchanged for other items in the Shiny Coins Shop.
