Hello everyone!

This is Junzo Hosoi, the producer of Atelier Resleriana.

Thank you so much for supporting and playing Atelier Resleriana.

The long-awaited Part 2 of the Main Story begins on 2024/08/23 (UTC+8), and I hope you are looking forward to it!

For players who have not completed Part 1 or have just started out, I hope you will take this chance to progress through the story and enjoy the latest content.

There will also be a game maintenance scheduled for 2024/08/26 (UTC+8) with the following new features which will be explained in further detail below.

• Roman’s Grand Tournament rework
• Adjustments to Wishes and rewards
• Other updates scheduled for the month of August

Roman’s Grand Tournament Rework

Roman’s Grand Tournament is a ranking-style event where players compete for rewards based on their standing in the rankings, and was originally created to provide an opportunity for our players to showcase their skills each week with a specialized team dedicated to each affinity. In order to improve the quality of our events and provide a better gameplay experience for our players, we will be reworking Roman’s Grand Tournament with the adjustments below.

Event Period Adjustment

Roman’s Grand Tournament has thus far been updated on a weekly basis with the effective affinity rotating out every 7 days. We understand that this interval may be too short to enjoy each event to the fullest, and may ultimately result in player fatigue.

To allow players more time to challenge the event and test out more strategies, we will be reworking Roman’s Grand Tournament to run for 2 weeks instead for each effective affinity.

New Wish to Complement Roman’s Grand Tournament

We understand that there are situations where players may be unable to challenge the current cycle of Roman's Grand Tournament due to not having suitable characters in their roster. To address this issue, we will be running an additional Wish alongside each cycle of Roman’s Grand Tournament, featuring characters of the current effective affinity to complement the ongoing event. We hope you will make use of this opportunity to achieve even higher scores.

Ranking Rewards and Emblem Requirement Adjustments

Our original intention for creating Roman’s Grand Tournament was to provide a permanent event for players to challenge their limits and pursue their personal best scores, and the emblems were added to the ranking rewards as a tangible way to commend the players that rise to the challenge.

However, we realized that this system of rewarding the top-performing players by further strengthening them ends up widening the power gap between the strongest players and those who fall short of the ranking. In light of this concern, we will be removing the emblems from the ranking rewards, and replacing them with Lodestar Gems instead.

Alongside this adjustment, the unlock conditions for the Roman’s Grand Tournament emblems will also be changed from achieving a stipulated position in the rankings to achieving a stipulated total damage score.

Note: Emblems that were earned before the rework will not be removed.

Furthermore, as a token of appreciation for your achievements, we will also be distributing the following compensatory rewards via mail after the maintenance on 2024/08/26 (UTC+8) to all players who earned Roman’s Grand Tournament emblems prior to the rework.

Addition of Event Missions

Aside from the ranking rewards, Roman’s Grand Tournament also included one weekly mission for participating in the event each week. We would like to provide more of such avenues to obtain rewards outside of the rankings, so as to encourage all players to challenge their high scores regardless of their standing in the rankings.

As such, we will be adding more event missions to Roman’s Grand Tournament where you can obtain rewards for achieving certain scores every cycle.

In addition to the above adjustments that we have lined up, we understand that there are still many more suggestions for improvement from our community regarding Roman’s Grand Tournament.

While we are unable to address every concern at the moment, we will continue to take your feedback into consideration and further refine the quality of our contents.

Adjustments to Wishes and Rewards

Adjustments to Lodestar Gem Availability

Lodestar Gems have so far been a limited resource, mainly offered as rewards for limited-time events and more challenging contents such as Dungeons and Secret Quests. In response to many players’ concerns that Lodestar Gems have become too scarce a commodity, we will be increasing the availability of Lodestar Gems by adjusting the daily login bonus and weekly missions.

• If you have already collected the Lodestar Gems for completing weekly missions during the period from 2024/08/20 11:00 (UTC+8) until the start of maintenance on 2024/08/26 (UTC+8), the difference will be sent to your mail.

We are also planning to make a new daily pass available for purchase in the later half of September, where you will be able to obtain Lodestar Gems by logging in each day. In addition, we will continue to review the overall availability of rewards and update our community when more information is available.

Adjustments to Featured Drop Rates in Wishes

Many players have expressed concerns that the drop rates for the individual Featured Characters and Featured Memoria are too low, especially in Wishes that feature multiple characters and Memoria. In response, we will be making the following adjustments:

Starting from the Wish commencing on 2024/09/09 (UTC+8), players will be able to select one Featured Character or Featured Memoria from each LEGEND FES to receive an increased drop rate.

The selected Featured Character or Featured Memoria will have an increased drop rate of 1%, and the remaining 0.5% of the Featured Drop Rate will be divided equally amongst the featured items that were not selected.

Featured Memoria from Wishes to be Available at the Legend Medal Exchange for a Limited Time

We have also received feedback from many players regarding the fact that Featured Memoria from Wishes are currently not exchangeable using Legend Medals. Starting from the Wish commencing on 2024/09/09 (UTC+8), all new Memoria featured in Wishes will be made available at the Legend Medal Exchange throughout the duration of the corresponding Wish.

Adjustments to the Wish System

With the new changes bringing about an increased availability of Lodestar Gems, which in turn allows players to obtain Legend Medals more easily, as well as the adjustments to the Featured Drop Rates which make Featured Characters and Memoria easier to obtain, we will be removing the daily free Wish to maintain the overall balance of rewards.

We sincerely apologize to all players who were looking forward to the free Wish each day, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we go through these changes.

In exchange for the removal of the daily free Wish, we will be adding a set of 10 Wish Tickets to each event’s login bonus. On the 5th day that you log in during each event period, you will be able to make 10 Wishes on the corresponding event Wish.

We understand that the above adjustments are a deviation from the previous system which has been in place since our launch. However, after careful consideration we have decided that these changes are a necessary step forward in further improving the overall gameplay experience of Atelier Resleriana, and we would greatly appreciate your understanding and support.

As a token of our apology, we will be distributing 3,000 Lodestar Gems to all players during the distribution period below.

They will be available from the Mail menu on the Home screen during the distribution period.

Other Updates Scheduled for the Month of August

Adjustments to Orbs Quest Rewards

As Glowing Orbs IV have thus far not been obtainable from the Orbs Quests, we will be revising the rewards so that Glowing Orbs IV can be obtained from the Ultimate difficulty of each Orbs Quest.

In addition, we will also be adjusting the amount of rewards dropped in the Elite, Master, and Ultimate difficulties.

Addition of Affinity and Role Icons to the Characters Page

We will be updating the display on the “List” Tab in the Characters Page with icons to visually differentiate the characters by their Affinity and Roles.

New Settings to Skip Animations in Options

In order to streamline the gameplay flow when attempting quests, we will be adding a setting in the Options page to skip Ryza and Iksel’s sending-off scene from the Cafe, as well as the returning animation played after skipping a quest.
